Concentrated solar power, concentrated photovoltaics and high concentrated photovoltaics are among most promising technologies for utility scale sun-derived energy. In regions with high direct sun exposure HCPV has the potential to achieve the lowest power generation costs. They also require less surface area for the same power yield than PV modules.
